Job Description
We are looking for a Host to join our team at Otto’s Pub & Brewery. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for hospitality and takes pride in creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Weekend availability is required.
As the first person guests see when they arrive and often the last person they interact with before leaving, the host plays an important role in setting the tone for the entire dining experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a positive and professional attitude, managing wait times, escorting guests to their tables, and assisting with reservations as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to stay calm and attentive while keeping service running smoothly during busy shifts.

Responsibilities
Welcome and greet ALL guests in a friendly and professional manner. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
Seat guests at the appropriate tables in accordance with the organized seating chart.
Ensure guests are seated in an order that does not overload a particular server.
Provide guests with menus and silverware.
Have complete knowledge of both the food and beverage lists.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems, specifically TOAST POS, is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, kitchen staff, and servers.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Hospitality background is desirable.
